What fruit and what vegetable each deserve a week-long celebration? Please explain.

The rutabaga requires no explanation.

AB: Fair enough. Winn Dixie sells them–a lot of them. They have a waxy outer covering, and the texture is sort of like a turnip.

I made a rutabaga relish, using the same ingredients for the Strawberry and Onion salsa, minus the strawberry and onion.
And then, I made (invented?) rutabaga cake. It tastes like gingerbread.
